CPD course: Project Management: Perspective, Planning and Implementation (3 CPD Points) NQF L6

Overview

The Continuing Professional Development (CPD) course: Project Management: Perspective, Planning and Implementation is exactly the same course as Module Mα of the Advanced Certificate in Project Management (AdvCertPM), which qualification is accredited at NQF Level 6. Classes are inter-active online.

After completion of this short course, students will receive credit for Module Mα if they qualify for admission to the AdvCertPM. There would then be two modules remaining to earn the full academic qualification.

The 3 CPD credits can be claimed by accessing the ECSA website.

The short course is fully aligned with PMI’s (Project Management Institute) PMBoK (Project Management Body of Knowledge). Successful candidates who have sufficient practical experience will be equipped to sit for the PMI’s PMP (Project Management Professional) certification, and the less experienced for PMI’s CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) certification.

The course is specifically designed for:

Working professionals who wish to master the essentials of management and apply PM skills and principles in a work context.

The content of this short course deals largely with project management principles, tools and techniques as applied in practice and illustrated in the various areas of the “Project Management Body of Knowledge” (PMBOK) of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and the “Competency Baseline” (ICB) of the International Project Management Association.

It prepares candidates for PMI’s CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) or PMP (Project Management Professional) certification, depending on the practical experience of the student.

Study materials include a textbook, live online lectures, lecture videos, a tutorial letter, and a detailed step-by-step study guide, which guides the student through the syllabus and the practical assignments.

The fee is R 19, 950.00, which includes your online study material. Persons based outside South Africa can pay in US Dollars, Euros or GB Pounds. Payment of fees must be effected before access to the course.
