The content of this short course deals largely with project management principles and strategy as applied in practice, and illustrated in the various areas of the “Project Management Body of Knowledge” (PMBOK) of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and the “Competency Baseline” (ICB) of the International Project Management Association.
It prepares candidates for PMI’s PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
Study materials include a textbook, live online lectures, lecture videos, a tutorial letter, and a detailed step-by-step study guide, which guides the student through the syllabus and the practical assignments.
All short courses are completed individually through technology-enhanced distance learning (although student collaboration is encouraged) within a relatively flexible timeframe.
The fee is R 19, 950.00, which includes your online study material. Persons based outside South Africa can pay in US Dollars, Euros or GB Pounds. Payment of fees must be effected before access to the course.

Final assessment takes the form of a practical examination assignment. A certificate is awarded upon successful completion of the short course. The certificate states that the student has successfully completed the CPD Short Course: ‘Project Management: Leading, Creating, Implementing and Improving’. Should you achieve a distinction, this will be indicated on your certificate.
